We look forward to seeing you at our upcoming 2023 Freedom Writers Symposium! To RSVP for the symposium, please fill out the RSVP Form. This special event is a unique gathering of educators and students from around the world who are passionate about what matters most to the Freedom Writers: Writing and Education.
At the symposium, you’ll have the opportunity to meet more Freedom Writer Student Authors, Freedom Writer Teachers, and members of the original Freedom Writers class. You’ll also get to hear from inspiring guest speakers who will share their stories and experiences. On Thursday night, we will be hosting a gala to recognize some of the incredible accomplishments of the Freedom Writers community and celebrate the impact of their work around mental health and social-emotional learning.
To aid you in the planning process, we have included the following resource to help you plan and budget. It includes the process to take care of any necessary payments related to the symposium (hotel rooms, travel, and registration fees), along with a helpful planning worksheet to account for any additional costs. There are also some ideas on how to begin your fundraising process.
